Last LAP!!!

Alright guys, today was a big step to the final lap, so great work, and sorry if I left kinda some of you guys in the dark, but hopefully this post will clear things up.

Soooo, basically we are pretty much done everything, all that is left is putting things together and the final presentation, which I will complete. Monday will be our final presentation so be prompt for that, cuz this time I won't be the only one blabbing (I will probably send the class straight into sleep mode if I do), I think it will be more effective if everyone spoke from their expertise~ but more about that later.

ah yes, I know this is quite minor, but our team logo still needs revising so if anyone is up for the job, please feel free to do one.

So with all that said, I can safely say its cruise control from now till the presentation! (but of course, please keep checking on the blog cuz there might be things that need to be clarify)

Thats basically it, Good luck on the Exam and see you Monday!!

Final Round!!!

Hey guys, again I congratulate you guys for the research and todays presentation.

So today's events in short quick points:
  • Had another presentation, (mainly used information you guys provided)
  • We divided the park into two sections (so we now have the Northern section, and the Southern section)
  • We have calculated (with other groups) that there shall be 12000 families that will be taking resistance within our homes. Therefore we will be dividing the 12000 into the two parts (northern and southern section)
  • We also wanted to incorporate Wind Mills into our design
  • We also (maybe, if possible) wanted to use the surrounding resources as much as possible (ie the steam plant or the train station)
  • Also, as it turns out, our location we place the build forms have to correspond to the other team members map, (eg we need to know where Open space decides to place their transit system so we can place our buildings closer to the buses, and subway etc.)
  • And as Ian pointed out in class today, the people will only walk within 200 meters of the buildings, so if we have our townhouses down south and the subway is all the way north, the south buildings will not benefit the access routes.
that is basically the cut down of today's class, Again if you guys are confused with any of this please email me~

Thanks again

OH right, um apparently there is class this Wednesday (and the final is due next week Monday)
so it will be great if we can have one final group meeting on Wednesday's class.
