anyhow, I think the best way to start off is to research on the population. As we discussed in class, the population within DownsView is very important, and it can determine how well or how bad the build forms work.
- Therefore, we have to research on Who would go for a townhouse (eg. 2 person family, 4 person family or is it single parents)
- Who would the people be, is the townhouses consider upper class, middle class, and is so why?
- Also, (if people have the map that Ian gave out during class) how would the townhouses be placed on the park? "if you don't have the map, I will try to upload to the blog, if not blast me an email and I can send a digital file to you"
Those should be some good places to start, try to post up some info onto the blog itself so everyone could see. Additional information is definitely appreciated!!!!
Hope this helps Guys
and yea... if this doesn't help blast me some more emails :)
Simon
P.S. !!!! Should read comments if you don't already! it will help you I swear!

Ahhh crap, forgot to mention this site on the blog, hope you guys can see this.
This is the main website for Parc Downsview. It has a lot of basic information about the park itself so I guess if you want to get a better feel for the park, check the site out!!

Hey guys, just another website I found that could be useful to us.
http://www.ohrc.on.ca/en/issues/family
its from the Ontario Human Rights Commission, and it relates to the family status part.
Check it out!!
I borrowed a book from the library entitled "Green by Design: Creating a Home for Sustainable Living"
Anyways, it had a lot of stuff in it which I think would apply to what we are researching. It moreso goes into detail about specific sustainable features and considerations to make when aiming to build a sustainable house/community.
I scanned a few pages that I felt were especially relevant to our group...

hi guys it's kind of late for mon. project....it's like sunday morning...lol anyway
i just want to make sure that what building form we focus on. r we considering only residencial buildings? or ..what else should we consider as building forms..
i think it's also important that what kinds of buildings we r dealing with.
maybe i will bring some ideas of where, which, and how buildings are.
Marc, I am with you! :-)
Sunday, and late, but agree.
What type of building we should be looking at is very important. Especially to as "who" would be attracted to the park.
I'll Bring some examples in as well, maybe a little late for discussion.
Cheers

Cheers
I read that wood stove article, it's really interesting. I think we should try to include that in our house designs.
Hi Guys,
I've been feeling really under the weather all weekend, hopefully I will be in tomorrow, but I'm not sure.
I've been going through all of the posts and I have some notes that I will post ASAP.
Keep me updated!
